USS Niimiipuu, NCC-2596

The USS Niimiipuu, NCC-2596! This is based on Bill Krause's excellent Shangri-La class Attack Cruiser, which he graciously allowed me to model in 3D. The name comes from the native people on who's land I live here in Idaho. She's about 6m longer than a Constitution-Refit, and is contemporary to that class. I had an absolute blast making this beast, and I can't thank Bill enough for letting me play with her. The nebulas in the first two images were imagined by Midjourney AI with the prompts "NASA photo of a nebula in pitch dark space --ar 16:9" and then smoothed out and upscaled in Topaz Gigapixel AI.
It was rendered in 3dsmax 2022, using VRay 6, and post-processed using Redgiant Looks and Boris Sapphire in AE.
